Veterans rock every day and every year, not just on 11/11/11 (cool as that date sounded the first dozen or so times I heard it - exponentially less cool as the day progressed).

We're experiencing our first chilly snap of the season. I'm loving it. It'll be back in the 80's by Monday. ;)

I think the sentiment "Happy Veterans Day" sounds ridiculous. It just is Veterans Day - a time to honor all my fellow vets who did a stint or two or a lifetime. I salute you. We rock.

We spent Veterans Day the way our country intends for us to do so - by dropping bucks on big ticket items (a new sofa bed and a 27" flat screen for the office/guest room).
